The New York Yankees will have their last game of the series against the Toronto Blue Jays when they travel to the Rogers Centre (6:07 p.m. ET). New York has all the confidence in the world right now against the Blue Jays winning the first two games of the series. They are looking to sweep the Blue Jays in the Rogers Centre and move ahead of them in the division. Meanwhile, the Blue Jays desperately need a win after failing to close out their last game against the Yankees losing 6-3. Both teams need these next two games badly. It will be interesting to see what happens in this game with two good pitchers starting on the mound for both teams.
New York Yankees
The Yankees are in third place in the AL East with a 25-19 record on the season. New York has already won the first two games of this series and are looking to win the remaining two. They would love nothing more than to jump the Blue Jays in the division. New York has been shaky on the road with a 9-9 record as the away team, but have been playing better. Look to see if they can continue this against the Blue Jays.
So far this season New York has scored 205 runs and have allowed only allowed 183. Nestor Cortes will try his best to keep it at 183 runs allowed for the Yankees. Look to see if Cortes can bounce back in this game and have a better showing on the mound.

In their win against the Blue Jays on the road, they jumped off to an ealry 3-0 lead. Then they had a run fifth inning giving the game back to Blue Jays and letting them tie it up. In the eighth inning though Judge showed why he was last years MVP and hit a two-run homerun to give the Yankees a 5-3 and put the dagger into the game. The Yankees would score again in the ninth inning because of a sacrifice fly. The Yankees started Domingo German, but he was tossed after the third inning for having an illegal substance on his hand. The Yankees would use their bullpen for the rest of the game and it would work out towards their advantage as they got the win.
Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays are in third place in the AL East with a 24-18 record. Toronto is currently 7.5 games back from the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the divison. They are also tied with the Yankees in the division. This is an important series for Toronto as they will look to turn their struggles around and pick up some games on the Yankees. Good thing the Blue Jays have been great at home so far this season with a 12-5 record at the Rogers Centre.
This season Toronto has scored have scored 199 runs and have allowed 183. Jose Berrios will be on the mound for Toronto in this game. Berrios has a 3-3 record with a 4.70 ERA. In his last start he went 5.2 innings giving up 6 hits, 2 earned runs, 3 walk, with 3 strikeouts. He will have his hands full against a dangerous Yankees lineup.
So far into the season Matt Chapman is having a great season for the Blue Jays. Chapaman leads Toronto with a .322 batting average and a .408 OBP. Bo Bichette has also been a key piece for the Blue Jays this season leading the team with 8 homeruns, 28 RBIs, and 57 hits, while having a .322 batting average. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has done his thing so far this season with 11 doubles and 7 homeruns, while having a .312 batting average.
In their loss against the Yankees at home, they went down 3-0 in the first five innings of the game. In the bottom of the fifth inning though, the Blue Jays got the bats going as Kevin Kiermaier hit a solo homerun, then Bichette doubled scoring George Springer, and to top it off Guerrero Jr. singled to center field to score Bichette. Tied at 3-3 the Blue Jays bullpen blew it in the eighth and ninth inning. Aaron Judge hit a two-run homerun to take a 5-3 lead then in the ninth the Yankees scored again off of a sacrifice fly. Kevin Gausman pitched well for the Blue Jays going 7.0 innings giving up 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks, with 10 strikeouts. It was Erik Swanson out of the bullpen who blew it for the Blue Jays.

After a high scoring 6-3 game other day, I dont see the bats coming alive early for any of these two teams. Plus, both teams have great pitchers starting on the mound in Nortes Cortes and Jose Berrios. I think the first inning scoreless and we see someruns in the second half of the ball game.
