The Yankees Falter While The Braves Triumph

For the first time this season, the New York Yankees face the MLB’s best Atlanta Braves. The series opened on Monday with a Braves win over New York. Atlanta won 11-3, recording 15 hits, 10 RBIs, and 2 home runs. The Yankees had 11 hits, 3 RBIs, and 0 home runs. 

The Braves are the top dogs in the MLB right now. At 76-42 with a +201 run differential, Atlanta has been the toughest team to beat all season. The Braves went 6-4 in their last 10, averaging 8.0 runs, 12.3 hits, and 1.8 home runs per game. Atlanta also leads the MLB in total runs (695), RBIs (671), and home runs (229), 

The New York Yankees are 60-59, and while they remain above .500, their postseason hopes are slowly fading away. The Yankees are 5th in the AL East and 9th in the American League, giving them a 5.1% chance to see the playoffs. New York can still turn it around, but after going 3-7 in their last 10, they killed any momentum they had. 

I like the Braves in this one. Atlanta is the best team in the league and they are playing extremely well at the moment. Don’t overthink it, Atlanta will win.
