Yankees and Mets matchup in the Big Apple

The Mets are now 59-37 on the season. They are 6-4 in their last ten. They still have a miniscule 1.5 game lead on the Braves in the NL East. They are getting Jacob DeGrom back soon. 

The Yankees are at risk of being caught by the Astros and the Dodgers for the best record in the MLB. They are 66-31 on the season and have struggled lately as they are 5-5 in their last ten. The Dodgers are now only half a game back while the Stros are 1.5 games back.

I have to take the Mets here. They will have David Peterson on the mound, who is 5-2 with a 3.31 ERA on the season. Peterson has been good lately with only one run allowed over his last six innings. The Yankees will have Domingo Gorman on the mound who’s making only his second start this season. He was roughed up in his first start this season as he gave up five runs in only three innings. He now has to go into Citi Field and face one of the best offenses in the MLB.
