The Braves and the Phillies have both been underperforming this season. The Braves now sit at 19-23 and tied for third in the NL East. They have not been great this season and aren’t playing very well right now as they have lost back to back games.
Maybe the Phillies are finally starting to find their footing. I have won back-to-back games and they put up 11 runs combined in those two games. They are currently 20-22 and winning this series could put some distance between them and the Braves.
I really like the Braves this game. Ranger Suarez is on the mound for the Phillies and he has not been very good as of late giving up three earned runs in each of his last two starts. Charlie Morton is on the mound for the Braves and after starting the season off cold, Morton has only allowed four runs over his last 16.1 innings. I think Morton will shut down these Phillies and continue his hot streak.
