The Cards will be continuing a series against the Reds here. Before the All-Star break they had won two straight against the Reds before being rained out in the last game before the All-Star break. They are now 50-44 on the season and only 0.5 games back of the Brewers. 

The Reds are 34-57 on the season. They are coming off of two straight losses to the Cards. They had almost caught the Cubs before dropping those games. They are only one game behind the slumping Cubs and I think they’ll catch them.
Adam Wainwright and Garrett Ashcraft will be on the mound in this game. Wainwright has been sneaky good this season with a 6-7 record and a flat 3.00 ERA. Ashcraft was destroyed last time out against the Cardinals as he gave up four runs in 4.2 innings of work. The Cards already won the first two of this series.
