Tonight’s game is a rather straightforward one. But we have to remember that the Dodgers, while they have been a dominant team, have had a few tough blunders this season. This was the same team that entered a three game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates in which they were 3 to 1 favorites in each game, and we swept. They did the same thing against another poor opponent but there are few reasons why it won’t repeat tonight. 

For one, the Dodgers have won 11 games in a row, and in dominant fashion. The Royals have actually been decent in their last 10 games as they have won 6 of them, but this is a 47-67 team that has no hope of making the playoffs this year. The second reason why the Dodgers won’t blunder tonight, is that’s their pitcher will be Tyler Anderson. Anderson (13-1) allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out three over seven shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Padres. Anderson has allowed multiple runs only once in his last five starts, and he’s shut out opponents in three of those outings. The southpaw was efficient Sunday, requiring just 84 pitches (59 strikes) to get through seven frames. Anderson has a 2.72 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 97:24 K:BB through 122.1 innings across 21 appearances (19 starts) this year.
