Two of MLB’s worst teams face off

The Nationals are now 27-48 on the season. They are coming off of a 6-4 win over the Rangers. They have been one of the worst teams in baseball this year and I expect that to continue as they don’t really have a lot of talent on their team other than Juan Soto and Josh Bell.

The Pirates are now 29–43 on the season. They are coming off of three straight losses to the Rays. They are worse than their record indicates. They have a worse run differential then the Cubs and Reds by 22 runs in both of those teams have worse records.

It’s hard to make an accurate prediction on this game as the Pirates haven’t announced a pitcher yet but if I had to choose I’d take the Nats. Eric Fedde is on the mound for them and he has been one of their best starting pitchers this year. That’s not saying a lot but in his last start he went six innings and only gave up two hits and 0 runs. I think Fedde can win this game for the Nationals.
