Two most disappointing teams in baseball face off

The Mets are now 55-66 on the year. They basically gave up on the year as they traded away their top two players in Scherzer and Verlander away at the deadline. They are just 5-5 in their last ten games and are about to be in last place in the NL East. 

The Cardinals have also been insanely disappointing this year. They just don’t have the pitching to keep up with other teams. They are 54-66 on the year and are 6-4 in their last ten games. They are 11 games back of the division lead. 

Take the Mets in this one. Adam Wanwright is on the mound for the Cards and he has been abysmal this year. He has a 3-7 record and a horrendous 8.78 ERA on the year. In his last two starts he has given up 15 runs over four innings of work. He cannot get through innings right now. He is facing Jose Quintana who does have an 0-4 record but has a good 3.03 ERA on the year. This Mets offense should destroy Wainwright.
