I thought this team would be much better than three games above 500 43 games into the season. They also rank 25th in runs scored. Many thought this would be a top three offense in the MLB. They are third in the AL East and 7.5 games behind the Yankees. They are coming off of a 6-3 win over the Angels.
The Angels rank fourth in runs scored and are 27-19. They only sit 2.5 games back of the Astros in the AL West. If they can stay healthy this season they can definitely secure a Wild Card and compete for the division title.
This is a great pitching matchup as Yusei Kikuchi and Michael Lorenzen are on the mound. Lorenzo and Kikuchi or a combined 7-3 on the season. I think we are getting a lot of value here with the Angels. I’m going to take them here. Lorenzen is coming off back-to-back wins in his previous two starts where he went a total of 13 innings and only gave up one run while Kikuchi couldn’t even go five innings before being pulled in his last start.
