Toronto’s Recent Struggles Against Los Angeles

The Toronto Blue Jays and LA Dodgers have played a total of 21 games all-time, making this AL vs NL matchup one of the rarest in baseball. The Blue Jays are 55-45 this season, 4th in the AL East, and 5th in the American League. Toronto is having a solid season despite their poor divisional standing, but the AL East is without a doubt the toughest division in baseball this season. The Blue Jays are 6-4 in their last 10 games, but are 1-9 in their last 10 games against the Dodgers, earning them the underdog tag for Tuesday. 

The Dodgers are leading the NL West with a 57-41 record. LA went 7-3 in their last 10 games, averaging an impressive 7.3 runs and 10.2 hits. The Dodgers win 64.4% of their home games, but despite the favorable numbers, I like the Blue Jays in this one. Toronto is going with Chirs Bassitt on the mound, who is 10-5 with a 3.92 ERA. The Dodgers are tough to beat, but the Blue Jays have more to play for, and will look to make a statement against the 2nd-best team in the National League
