Now let’s get to our Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays pick.
To Rock Bottom
It’s hard to say that the Kansas City Royals are a team that is sliding, when quite frankly, they’ve already hit rock bottom. They have the worst record in baseball at 17-35 and naturally are in dead last in their division. The Royals have the worst run differential in all of major league baseball at -81. The Blue Jays, on the other hand, are a top five team projected to make the World Series, and have the best record in the last 10 games in Major League Baseball. They have won eight of their last ten games and quite honestly, the fact that they are only a -170 favorite against this horrible Royals team is a surprise. I believe the reason behind this is that the books know that the Royals have to win eventually, so rather than put them as major underdogs every game, they try to cover their bases and make the odds less lopsided. Neither of these teams is great at putting runs on the board as they rank in the bottom half of runs scored on the year, But lucky for both sides, the average ERA of both starting pitchers in this one is a 4.5.
For our expert Toronto Blue Jays versus Kansas City Royals prediction, take the over of 9.5 runs.
