The Padres did not have the first half they hoped for, sitting down in 4th of the NL West with a 45-50 record. They’ve won 6 of their last 10 but will need a huge second half to catch up to the rest of their division,

The Tigers are sitting at 3rd in the NL Central with a 42-52 record. They benefit from this terrible division sitting only 6 games back of the lead even with their record. They’ve split their last 10 but need to put more in the win column to catch the Guardians and Twins.
