The Tampa Bay Rays Are Back In Business

New York is a top-10 team in terms of total home runs, with 176 on the season, but New York’s inability to close games has ruined their chances to make the playoffs. In their last 10, the Yankees averaged 3.4 runs, 6.4 hits, 1.5 home runs, and gave up 57 runs.   

The Tampa Bay Rays had a blistering start, a middling midseason, and are now back to their winning ways. The Rays are 2nd in the AL East with a 78-51 record, putting them 16.0 games up on the Yankees in the division. Tampa went 7-3 in their last 10, averaging an impressive 7.4 runs, 12.1 hits, 1.6 home runs, and allowed 48 runs against. The Rays have won 4-straight, and post a 66.15% win-rate at home, making them the clear favorites against the struggling Yankees.
