The Struggling Athletics Face The Reigning Champs

The A’s are playing their last season in Oakland, California, but instead of going out with a bang, the Athletics are imploding. With the worst record in the MLB at 26-71, the A’s have won just 26.8% of their games, and have only been favored in 1 game this season, which they lost. The A’s are just trying to get through the season, and will look to rebuild the club’s image next year when they move to Las Vegas. 

The A’s are never expected to win, and while they have pulled off some upsets this season, I don’t see that happening against the Astros. Houston is 52-43 on the season, 2nd in the AL West, and 5th in the American League, putting them a whopping 27 games up on the A’s. The Astros are undefeated with a 6-0 record against Oakland, and they will continue to build on that streak come Thursday.
