The Reds Drop Four Straight 

The Cincinnati Reds are not making things easy for themselves. With a 59-53 record, the Reds are 2nd in the NL Central but have lost 4-straight and are coming off an embarrassingly terrible performance against the Chicago Cubs. In their last series, after winning the opener, Cincinnati then gave up 41 runs to the Cubs in 3 games. The Reds pitching has suffered greatly this season, and while they are a top-10 team in terms of total hits, they have a -22 runs differential and allow the 2nd-most runs in the National League. 

The Washington Nationals are having an underwhelming season with a 47-63 record, but they are coming off a 6-3 victory over the Reds on Friday. The Nationals recorded 7 hits and upset the Reds in extra innings after scoring 3 runs in the top of the 10th. ESPN Analytics is giving Washington a 42.2% chance to win, but with the way the Reds are pitching, giving up 47 runs in 4 games this month, I like the Nationals in this one.
