The Reds are having a good season and need to continue if they want the division title. They sit 2nd in the NL Central with a 56-48 record. Winning 6 of their last 10 they are within 1.5 games of the lead and this series could close that gap even further. Their stellar away record should help them in LA.

The Dodgers are having the exact season they hoped for sitting atop their division with a 58-43 record. Splitting their last 10 they do need to get back to winning as the rest of their division is still very competitive.
