The Red Sox Are Red-Hot 

The Boston Red Sox are cooking with fire, winning 9 of their last 10 games, making them the hottest team in the MLB right now. They beat the Cubs in the series opener 8-3 on Friday, making it 6 wins in a row. Boston is now 49-43, but they remain stuck at the bottom of the AL East, tied with the Yankees for last place. The Red Sox average 9.1 hits per game and have the 2nd-most total hits in the MLB, giving them a good chance to beat Chicago. 

The Cubs are 42-48, putting them in 3rd place in the NL Central, but 10th in the National League. Chicago is 4-6 in their last 10, averaging just 4.4 runs per game over the same stretch, the Cubs have not been an exciting team to watch this season. They’ve failed to find any consistency, and even though they are the favorites to win on Sunday over the Red Sox, it doesn’t seem likely.
