The Pirates Are Undefeated Against San Diego

The Pittsburgh Pirates will make their way to Southern California to take on the Padres for their second series of the season. The Pirates are 43-55, and after an excellent start to the season, now find themselves in last place of the NL Central. Pittsburgh went 3-7 in their last 10, averaging a lowly 3.1 runs, but against the Padres, the Pirates are 3-0. 

The San Diego Padres are 48-52, putting them just 4.0 games up on Pittsburgh. The Padres are 5-5 in their last 10, averaging 5.3 runs and 8.5 hits, but were swept by the Pirates back in June. San Diego scored 9 runs and allowed 21 in the first series, and will look to redeem themselves in the opener on Monday.

I like the over in this one. The O/U total is set at 8.5 runs, and in their last series, the Padres and Pirates went over 8 runs in 2 of their 3 games. The Padres hit the over 41% of the time, while the Pirates hit the over 51% of the time, but against each other, they hit the over 66.7% of the time.
