The Milwaukee Brewers Are Playoff Bound
Everyday it seems another MLB team has been eliminated from playoff contention. So far, 6 teams are officially out, as it is mathematically impossible for them to recover and make a postseason push. Conversely, several teams have already punched their ticket and will be in the p[ostseason no matter what. Neither the Milwaukee Brewers nor the St. Louis Cardinals fall into either of these categories, but it is only a matter of time before one is eliminated and the other advances.
The Brewers sit atop the NL Central with a 84-66 record. The Brewers have a 6.0 game cushion over anyone else in the division, giving them a 99.9% chance to make the playoffs. The St. Louis Cardinals on the other hand, had a less successful year. At 67-83, the Cardinals are last in the NL Central, 17.0 games behind the Brewers, and will likely see the elimination tag by the end of the week.
For Wednesday’s matchup, go with the Brewers. The Cardinals may have taken the series opener on Monday with a 1-0 win over Milwaukee, but St. Louis has been wildly inconsistent, mostly because of poor pitching, and the Brewers will tee off on a Cardinals defense that’s given up the 3rd-most runs (755) in the NL.
So for our Brewers vs. Cardinals expert pick, take the Milwaukee Brewers Moneyline on Wednesday.
