The Mets are in shambles. They are crashing and crashing hard right now. They are now 31-35 on the season and are now fourth in the NL East and 9.5 games back of the first place Braves. They are now an abysmal 2-8 in their last ten games.
The Yankees aren’t playing too well themselves but they are still third place in the division. They have the fourth best record in the AL this season and they should compete for a Wild Card spot. They aren’t playing great right now as they are 4-6 in their last ten games.
I like the under in this one. Gerritt Cole will be on the mound for the Yankees and he has been a top three pitchers in baseball this season. He is 7-1 on the season with a 2.94 ERA and 90 strikeouts on the season. He is facing Justin Verlander who has not been great this season but is still one of the top pitchers in this game.
