The Dodgers Are Running Away With The Division

The 45-68 Colorado Rockies are last in the NL West, and will take on the division leading Dodgers who come in at 66-46. The Dodgers are 21.5 games up on Colorado in the NL West, and after winning 8 of their last 10, LA has begun to solidify their position atop the division. 

This season the Rockies have struggled, and against LA they are 1-4. The Dodgers are heavily favored to win, but I like the over in this one. Of their 5 matchups, the Rockies and Dodgers combined for more than 8.5 runs in 3 of them. Additionally, in their last 10 games respectively, LA went over the run total 7 times, while the Rockies were over in 5. I’m banking on the Dodgers superior offense to decimate the Rockies bullpen, leading to what will be a high scoring matchup. 

In fact, the Dodgers offense is good enough to hit the over all on its own. LA averaged 6.7 runs per game in their last 10, and average 5.5 runs per game at home this season. Against a Colorado pitching squad that has given up over 650 total runs, the Dodgers will feast.
