The Atlanta Braves: Favored To Win It All

The Milwaukee Brewers have the misfortune of taking on the MLB’s best, the Atlanta BRaves. The series kickoffs on Friday, making Saturday the 2nd-game, and Sunday the closer. For Saturday, I like the Braves. Atlanta has the best record in baseball at 64-36, and are leading the league with a whooping 188 home runs, 22 more than the next best team. The Braves have the highest slugging percentage at .487, and the highest on-base percentage at .823, making them the favorites in nearly every matchup. As the favorites, the Braves win 63.4% of the time, and against Milwaukee, Atlanta is 2-1. 

The Brewers are leading the NL Central with a 57-46 record, putting them 1.5 games up in the division, but they are 8.5 games behind the Braves in the National League. Milwaukee won 6 of their last 10, but compared to the Braves, Milwaukee falls short. Atlanta has a +140 run differential, the 3rd-best in the MLB, while the Brewers post a less than ideal run differential at -3. The Braves will win the series, as well as Saturday’s matchup.
