Texas Rangers Make Desperate Playoff Push
The Texas Rangers led the AL West for most of the season, but after a miserable summer, the Rangers are playing chase. Texas is still a respectable 79-64, but they’ve fallen on hard times. The Rangers went 7-13 in their last 20, averaging 4.35 runs, 8.5 hits, and 1.55 home runs. However, Texas has won 3-straight after taking down the Blue Jays 10-4 on Monday.
The Toronto Blue Jays are 80-64, putting them just half a game above the Rangers in the American League. The Blue Jays have fought hard all season, but can’t seem to crack the top-2 of their highly competitive division, the AL East. Regardless, Toronto has a good chance to reach the postseason, but need a few more wins to clinch. In their last 10, the Blue Jays went 7-3, and while they may not have as many runs as the Rangers, Toronto has given up 50 fewer runs than Texas this season. My Rangers vs. Blue Jays betting tip: go with defense in this one.
For our Rangers vs. Blue Jays expert pick, take the Toronto Blue Jays Moneyline (-115) on Wednesday.
