Texas Rangers Fighting to Reclaim Division
The Texas Rangers are in a three way battle for the top spot in the AL West. Texas is 75-58, just 1.0 game back from reestablishing their rule in the division. But after a horrendous 10-game stretch which saw Texas go 3-7, the once dominant Rangers are looking fragile. Texas is still a top-3 offensive team in the MLB, but in their last 10, they averaged 3.8 runs, 8.6 hits, 1.3 home runs, and allowed 54 runs against.
The Minnesota Twins nearly have the AL Central locked up. They are 69-65, which is good enough for a 5.0 game cushion. The Twins went 5-5 in their last 10, averaging 5.4 runs, 8.1 hits, 1.9 home runs, and allowed 49 runs against. Minnesota has won most of their games at home however. They are much less threatening on the road, winning just over 44% of their away games. The Rangers on the other hand are fantastic on their home field, winning 64% of the time, and although the Twins are 3-1 against Texas this season, I like the Rangers in this one.
So for our Twins vs. Rangers expert pick, take the Texas Rangers Moneyline (-148) on Friday.
