Texas Rangers Drop Three Straight
The Texas Rangers are 82-67 (55.0%). They continue their playoff push, but hit a snag after dropping 3-straight, snapping a 6-game winning streak. The Rangers were swept 0-3 by the Cleveland Guardians, recording 6 runs and allowing 23. It was a rough series for the Rangers, and while the playoffs remain well within reach, Texas desperately needs to get back in the win column.
The Boston Red Sox are 74-76, putting them 8.5 games back from the Texas Rangers in the AL. Unfortunately because of that deficit, the Red Sox are not postseason contenders. Boston is last in the AL East, went 2-8 in their last 10, and are coming off a 4-game losing streak. It’s been a rough year for the Red Sox, who are hoping to close the books and regroup after a disappointing season.
I like the Rangers odds in this one. Morale in the Red Sox dugout is at an all-time low as they’ve essentially thrown in the towel. Boston averaged 3.9 runs and 5.2 runs against over a horrendous 10-game stretch, while the Rangers averaged 5.6 runs and 4.4 runs against on their way to a 6-4 record in their last 10.
So for our Red Sox vs. Rangers expert pick, take the Texas Rangers Moneyline (-142) on Tuesday.
