The Yankees finally got a win as they beat the Blue Jays 4-2 behind Nestor Cortes’ six innings of one-run ball. They are hoping that this propels them up as they are only 5-15 in their last 20 games.
The Mets have such a massive advantage here when it comes to who is on the mound. The Mets will have future hall of famer Max Scherzer while the Yankees will have Domingo German. German is 1-2 on the season and has a 1.41 WHIP and a 4.45 ERA. Scherzer has been his usual self this season as he is 9-2 with a 0.93 WHIP and a 2.15 ERA. I think Scherzer shuts down this slumping Yankees team behind his surging Mets lineup.
