Slumping Yanks look to recover

The Yankees are now 64-30 on the season. They have lost two in a row to the Astros and are 3-7 in their last ten games. They are only 1.5 games in front of the Dodgers and only 2.5 games in front of the Astros for the best record in baseball.

The Orioles are now 46-46 on the season. They have won eight of their last ten games on the season. Their win streak catapulted them into the Wild Card Race. They are now only 3.5 games back of the last Wild Card spot and have a legit chance. 

I have to take the Yankees here. Purely because Gerritt Cole will be on the mound. He is 9-2 with a 3.02 ERA on the season. Over his last 14 innings he has 23 strikeouts and only two runs allowed. Jordan Lyles is on the mound for the Orioles and in his three starts against the Yankees this year he has a 5.56 ERA. Cole is too good to allow more than two runs here and I don’t think Lyles will give up more than five.
