Slumping Yankees visit Los Angeles
It seems like the Angels have finally figured it out. Forty games too late. The Angels went into Toronto and swept a good Blue Jays team and then came back home and beat the Yankees. They not only swept them but they dominated as the Angels outscored Toronto 22-3 over the course of the series. They are now 56-73 on the season and have won four in a row.
The Yankees have lost three games in a row to the A’s and the Angels. They are now 78-51 on the season. The Yankees haven’t clinched this division yet and if they continue to drop games to teams like the A’s they may lose a grip on this division. The Rays are now only seven games back.
Gerritt Cole and Pablo Sandoval will be facing off in this game. Cole is 10-6 on the season with a 3.31 ERA while Sandoval is 4-9, yet he has a 3.05 ERA. The Angels have won four games in a row while the Yankees have now lost three. I just think there is too much value here on a team that is finally getting healthy and playing well.
