Slumping Pirates visit Milwaukee

The Pirates finally ended their losing streak as they beat the Phillies 5-0. Before that win they had lost seven games in a row. They are 48-79 on the season and last in the NL Central. They now have the third worst record in the entire MLB.

The Brewers are coming off of back to back wins over the Cubs and they have now moved to 67-59 on the season. They have lost significant ground in the division to the streaking Cards over the last month as they are now 5.5 games back. 

This should be a no brainer. The Brewers will have the reigning Cy Young winner in Corbin Burnes on the mound here. Burnes has been great this season with a 2.84 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP. He will face Jerad Eickhoff who was horrendous in his one start this season as he went 4.1 innings and gave up a ridiculous 10 earned runs. The Brewers should run away with this game early. I don’t want to have to rely on the bullpen here.
