Slumping Phils visit streaking Friars

The Phillies have now lost three straight games to a combination of the Nationals and the Rangers. They have been outscored by an average of 5 runs per game over their last three games. They are now 36-34 on the season and have lost significant ground on the Braves and the Mets while the Marlins gained on them.

 The Padres have won three straight games. They are now first in the NL West with a record of 44-27. They are just ahead of the Dodgers as the Dodgers are half a game back. 

The reason this number solo is because Joe Musgrove is on the mound for the Padres. The NL Cy Young favorite is 8-0 on the season with a 1.59 era. He has a win in his last three starts and has only given up two runs in his last 21 innings. He will be going up against Ranger Suarez. Suarez is 5-4 on the season with a 4.43 era. I think this number is way too low. Suarez is not a good pitcher and the Padres should kill him. The Phillies have a lot of guys in their lineup and I think they can get to Musgrove just a bit. I feel like we see a 5-3 game or a 6-2 game.
