Slumping Mets visit Nats
The Mets were one of the best regular season teams in the MLB last season and they came into this year expecting the same. They have not gotten that. They are 18-20 on the season and they have lost four of their last five games. This team better figure it out.
The Nationals are 16-21 on the season. They have been playing pretty decently over the last ten games going 6-4. They are not going to be a competitive team this season as this is more of a developmental season for them.
I like the over in this one. Even though the Mets aren’t playing great they still have a top lineup in the game and they are facing Trevor Williams who has not been great this season with a 4.25 ERA on the season. He is coming off of a bad outing. The Mets will start Joey Lucchesi who is not any better as he has a 4.43 ERA on the season. These lineups should get to the pitchers relatively easily.
