The Mets are now 49-30 on the season after beating the Rangers 4-1. They were ahead in the NL East by a good amount but that lead has been cut down to just 3.5 games. The Braves are gaining on them and they need to continue winning. 

The Reds are now 27-51 on the season. They are coming off of a win over the Braves. They have been pretty decent after starting the season 3-22. They are last in the division. 

Max Scherzer will be back on the mound in this one. He is making his return from the diabled list. Before his injury he was 5-1 with a sub 2.5 ERA. The Mets will be starting Nick Lodolo who is 1-2 with a 5.52 ERA on the season. The Mets will be getting their ace back and facing a subpar pitcher. I think they could go for 10+ runs in this game.
