San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies

Tommy D. back with online sports bet, America’s favorite sports information channel.

It’s Tuesday, May 4, the San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies Pick and Predictions report. This game starts at 8:40 PM EST tonight at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, where the Giants and Rockies face off for the eighth time this season.

Giants climbed up to the top of the NL West

The San Francisco Giants (17-11) have the best record in the NL West, which is quite surprising, considering the stiff competition. After losing the opening two games of the series against the San Diego Padres, the Giants secured a 7-1 win to conclude it, even though San Diego had eight hits opposite San Francisco’s five. Fernando Tatis Jr. gave the Padres a 1-0 lead with a solo homer in the 1st inning, but it was all from San Diego in this one.

Alex Wood (3-0) is getting his fourth start of the season, and this will be the second time he faces the Rockies after getting a win earlier. He let two runs on four hits over 6.0 innings in that encounter, while he struck out nine with two walks. For the year, Wood has a fantastic 1.50 ERA, 0.67 WHIP, and 20 strikeouts in 18.0 innings. The 30-year-old lefty has been San Francisco’s best pitcher so far in this campaign, and that’s why San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies Odds are on the Giants’ side.

Colorado still owns the worst record in the NL

The Colorado Rockies (10-18) failed to conclude the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a win after scoring a season-high 14 runs previously.

Although they deserved to win (12-9 hits), the Rockies suffered an 8-4 defeat thanks to closer Daniel Bard, who allowed four runs in the 8th. This Colorado team has more potential than results are showing thus far in the season, and it’s only a matter of time when they’ll start playing better.

At the moment, the Rockies didn’t announce the starting pitcher for the clash with the San Francisco Giants.

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies Pick

San Francisco already beat Colorado five times in six meetings this season, and although it’s not going to be easy to play at Coors Field, where the Rockies have been the unpleasant opponents, the visitors are looking closer to get a win. Four of six H2H duels this year went Under 10.5 runs, and despite the fact that games at Coors Field are usually high-scoring, Alex Wood has been brilliant so far and I think he will control the game early on. That’s why my Giants vs. Rockies prediction is UNDER 10.5 runs.
