Royals Blunder Again

The Rays truly have been playing better baseball and thank goodness for that, as they are truly in the hardest division in the entire MLB. The only thing constant about the placement in the American League East Division has been the fact that the Yankees have been in first place and by a wide margin. Aside from that, the rays, Blue Jays, Red Sox and Orioles have all flip-flopped through the standings. Aside from the Orioles, who had a ways to make up, but before they just now are closer to the other teams, the Rays have been the hottest team in this division as of late, winning six of their last ten games, which has earned them the second spot in the division. They are going to have to keep up this level of play to stay in the wild card spot they are currently in. Unfortunately for them, in tonight’s game there will be starting Luis Patino, who has only started two games this year as a rookie. In his first start against the Oakland A’s, he picked up the loss after pitching 0.2 innings and allowing one run on one hit and then in his second start against the Orioles, he pitched 3.1 innings and allowed two runs on four hits, so two less than stellar outings.
