Now let’s get to our Colorado Rockies vs San Diego Padres pick.

Pitching Duel

The Padres are huge favorites in this one, and it’s easy to understand why. Although they have only won five of their last ten games, they currently sit only two games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers for the division lead, and with a record of 35 wins and 22 losses, they are the owners of the sixth best record in all of Major League Baseball. Their opponents, on the other hand, the divisional rival Colorado Rockies, have played themselves into last place in the National League West. The final reason for the Padres being nearly three to one favorites is that they will have their ace Joe Musgrave on the mound. Musgrave has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, having an unblemished 6-0 record and with a striking 1.64 ERA, along with 61 strikeouts.

But we can’t overlook his opponent on the rocky side, just because he wears a Colorado uniform. Sure, the Rockies have been a bad team, but one of the few, if not the only bright spot of this season for them has been Chad Kuhl. Kuhl has a 4-2 record himself, along with a 3.17 ERA. This pitching matchup is an intense one and can go either way, despite what the odds are telling you.

For our expert Colorado Rockies versus San Diego Padres prediction, take the under seven runs and sprinkle a little on the Rockies money line.
