Reds Look To Stump The Dodgers At Home

The Cincinnati Reds travel to Southern California this week to take on their National League rivals, the LA Dodgers. The Reds are 56-48 on the season, making them 2nd in the NL Central and 6th in the National League, 3.5 games back of the Dodgers. The Reds enjoyed a 12-game winning streak in June, but went 0-5 in their first few games back from the All-Star break, and are now 12-10 this month. Elly De La Cruz has been a one-man highlight reel this year, but the Dodgers remain heavily favored in this one. 

The Dodgers are 58-43 thus far, putting them in first place of the NL West and 2nd place in the National League. They are 1-2 against the Reds, but are expected to win this next series, as the Dodgers win 62.5% of their games at home in LA. Bobby Miller is the probable starter for the Dodgers on Friday, and in 7 starts, Miller has only lost 1 game. LA is coming off a 1-2 series loss to the Blue Jays, but they averaged nearly 2 more runs per game than the Reds in their last 10 games respectively, and with Miller on the mound, the Dodgers have been a formidable opponent.
