Reds look to extend Central league
The Reds are playing great baseball right now. They lead the NL Central by half a game and sit at 47-39 on the year. They have won six of their last seven games and three straight. This is a fun team to watch and they should compete this year.
The Nationals are one of the worst teams in the MLB. They sit in last place in the NL East this year. They sit at 34-51 on the season which is good for the second worst record in the NL. This team is young though and probably has a bright future.
As hot as the Reds are, I actually like the Nationals to keep this one close because of the matchup on the bump. Josiah Gray is on the mound for the Nationals and he has been much better this season with a 6-6 record and a 3.30 ERA. He is facing Garrett Ashcraft who is 3-6 and has a 6.66 ERA on the season. He also has an abysmal 1.50 WHIP on the year. I think the Nats win this game and if not they keep it very close.
