The Cardinals are now 51-46 on the season. They have lost two of their last three games to the Reds. They are now 2.5 games back of the Brewers for first. They have been much better at home than on the road this season 29-20 vs. 22-26.

The Blue Jays are the AL’s hottest team right now. They have won six straight games. They are now 53-43 on the season and they now own the first Wild Card spot.

The Cards will be missing their two best players as Paul Goldschdmit and Nolan Arenado will not make the trip to Toronto since they aren’t vaccinated. The Blue Jays are the hottest team in the AL and will be facing a team heading the wrong direction without its two stars.
