The game starts at 7:10 PM EST in Cleveland’s Progressive Field, home of the Guardians. The Moneyline has the Dodgers at -205 and the Guardians at +170. The Runline has the Dodgers at -1.5 (-125) and the Guardians at +1.5 (+105). The O/U total is set at 8 runs.

Red-Hot Dodgers Hit The Road

The LA Dodgers hold a commanding lead over the NL West, and are not just being given a good chance to win the division, but have a decent chance to make a deep run in the playoffs as well. At +375, the Dodgers have the 2nd-best odds to win the World Series. They are currently 76-47 (win-rate: 61.8%), making them the 3rd-best team in the MLB, and are just 3.5 games back from the top spot in the entire league. 

The Cleveland Guardians were competing for the AL Central title at one point, but after going a combined 20-24 (win-rate: 45.45%) over the past two months, the Guardians are now 59-66 (47.2%), 6.0 games back from the division leading Twins, and have just a 3.9% chance to reach the postseason. The downtrodden Guardians must now face a top-3 team in the LA Dodgers, whom Cleveland has only faced 15 total times (series record 7-8), with the odds heavily stacked against them. 

I like the red-hot Dodgers in this one. In their last 20 games, the Dodgers went 17-3, and in their last 10, they were 9-1. They’ve allowed the 14th-fewest runs this season (544), but by averaging 5.59 runs per game, the Dodgers can afford to give up a few. Cleveland has a great defense, recording the 2nd-fewest runs against (505), but their offense is stagnant, and if the Dodgers take the lead, the Guardians don’t have the firepower to mount a comeback.
