Red-Hot Angels Rally Around Ohtani
The LA Angels are streaking. In their last 10 games, the Angels went 8-2, averaging a staggering 6.3 runs per game. LA has now won 4-straight, and are coming off a double-header victory against the Detroit Tigers, where Shohei Ohtani went absolutely nuclear, recording the first shut-out of his career in the first game, and launching 2 balls out-of-the-park in the second. The Angels recently took Ohtani off the trade market, making it clear to the rest of the team that the playoffs are the ultimate goal.
The Toronto Blue Jays are having a stellar season. They are 5th in the American League with a 57-46 record, setting themselves up nicely to make their second consecutive postseason appearance. The Blue Jays are excellent at the plate, recording the 3rd-most hits on the season with 929. They are led by Bo Bichette, who has the 2nd-most hits by a single player with 137. Toronto is 2-1 against the Angels this season, and with both sides lighting up the scoreboard in recent games, this will be a high-scoring matchup.
So for our Angels vs. Blue Jays expert pick, go with the Over on 8.5 runs for Saturday.
