The turn around that the Boston Red Sox have been able to make this season truly has been remarkable. Just a little under two months ago, this team was barely a .500 win percentage team, and not many people had them making any noise in the postseason. But now, looking at the standings today, it seems almost inevitable that this team will be able to make the playoffs, and not only that, could potentially win a playoff series. This team has put out winning week after winning week, and now, if not for being in the same division as the Yankees, would be atop many other divisions. 

The Rays, in the opposite trend, have somewhat fallen off since their hot first month of baseball. They currently still own a good record with 43 wins and 37 losses.But that has them all the way down in fourth place in their division under the Yankees, Red Sox and Blue Jays. Scheduled to take the mound for the Tampa Bay Rays will be Corey Kluber, who in his ninth season as a Major League pitcher, has a record of 3-5, and an ERA of 3.91. However, throughout his entire career, he has played the Red Sox 12 times and has a record of three and five and an ERA of 4.63.
