Rangers Top AL West Despite Recent Struggles
The Chicago White Sox are having a terrible season. They are 4th in the AL Central with a 43-64 record, and in their last 10 games, the White Sox only won 3 times. Chicago is 17.5 games behind the Texas Rangers in the American League, and have a 34.9% chance to beat the Rangers on Wednesday according to ESPN Analytics.
The Texas Rangers are leading the AL West with a 60-46 record and after six consecutive postseason-less years, the Rangers are highly likely to see the playoffs. They are 3rd in the American League, 5.0 games back from 1st, but the Rangers struggled in July. They were a mediocre 11-13 last month, and in their last 10 Texas won just 3 games.
But despite the lackluster nature of their recent games, I like the Rangers in this one. Compared to the White Sox, Texas is clearly the better side. The Rangers lead the MLB in runs, hits, batting average, and RBIs, while Chicago has struggled on both sides of the ball, posting a horrendous -83 run differential.
So for our White Sox vs. Rangers expert pick, go with the Texas Rangers Moneyline on Wednesday.
