The Brewers are on a hot streak right now. They have won four games in a row to take back first place in the NL Central. They are now 44-33 on the season. They are a game and a half ahead of the Cardinals and now get their ace on the mound.

The Pirates’ record is much better than they are. They are 30-45 on the season but have a -101 run differential. Their run differential ranks fourth to last in the MLB. I expect some regression from this team as they face a tougher schedule.

The Brewers will have Corbin Burnes on the bump. The reigning Cy Young winner is 3-0 in his last three starts with 27 strikeouts and a 2.34 ERA. He will be facing Roansy Contreras who has been really good for the Pirates this year. Contreras is coming off of back-to-back starts where he gave up only one run on four hits. This number is really low but it is for good reason.
