Padres to Take Control 

The San Diego Padres are currently 74-60 and are in second place in the NL West. Over their last 10 games, the Padres are 6-4 but are currently on a one-game losing streak, after coming up short against the LA Dodgers. Before the series against LA, they played a series against the San Francisco Giants where they swept them, winning all three of the games. Heading into this one the Padres have a 9-3 series lead over the Diamondbacks. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks, on the other hand, are currently 63-69, which is fourth place in the NL West. Over their last 10 games, they are 7-3 but are currently on a one-game losing streak. In their last game, they lost to the Milwaukee Brewers by a final score of 8-6. 

In this game, the Padres will have Blake Snell take the mound for them and Ryne Nelson for the Diamondbacks. On the season, Snell is 6-7 with an ERA of 3.87 and a WHIP of 1.32. On the other hand, Nelson will be making his MLB debut. I think the Padres will win this one as they have the better team and a more experienced pitcher in Snell.
