Dodgers and Padres continue battle

The Dodgers just completed one of the greatest regular seasons in MLB history. They went 111-51 on the season and ranked 1st in both runs scored offensively and ERA on the other side. The Dodgers are the favorites to win the World Series.

The Padres are coming off of a big upset of Mets in the Wild Card. The Mets won 100 games in the regular season but the Padres didn’t seem to care as they destroyed Max Scherzer in game one and Joe Musgrove dominated in game three.

I love Darvish’s over on strikeouts. One of the few categories where the Dodgers weren’t in the top ten is strikeouts as they struck out at a an average rate they were 15th in the league. Darvish has made four starts against the Dodgers this year and has put up big strikeout numbers. He has a 11.2 strikeouts per nine against them. In his last start he went seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts.
