The Marlins managed to get into the playoffs with the second wildcard spot. They finished the season 3rd in the division with an 84-77 record. Winning 6 of their last 10 they are in decent form coming into the postseason. This is just the 4th postseason appearance in the teams they’ve won the World Series in 2 of their 3 appearances.
