NL East matchup in New York

The Marlins have now won six of their last eight but two in a row. They are now 39-42 on the season. They are four games behind the Phillies and have made up significant ground in the Wild Card race. 

The Mets are in a bit of a slump right now, at least by their standards. They are 52-31 on the season but are 5-5 in their last ten and are coming off of a blowout win over the Marlins. They are now only 3.5 games ahead of the Braves in the NL East. 

Carlos Carrasco and Braxton Garrett are on the mound in this one. Even though Carrasco has a 9-4 record on the season he really hasn’t been that good as he has a 4.64 ERA. Garrett isn’t much better as he has a 4.25 ERA. This Mets offense just exploded and the Marlins are capable of putting up runs.
