NL East Battle in Nations capital 

The Mets have been great this season. They are now 20-10 on the season and were the first team to reach 20 wins. They are still playing good baseball having won four of their last six games. Pete Alonso is playing like an MVP right now. After a two-homer game, he now has seven home runs and 26 RBIs.

The Nationals have not been good this season. They sit at 10-20 and have lost four of their last five games. They have just not been good this season on the defensive side of things. Their offense is actually eighth in runs but they are 29th in team ERA.
