NL East battle continues

The Mets have won eight of their last ten games. They are 68-39 on the season and are now a full 4.5 games ahead of the Braves in the NL East. They are four games behind the Dodgers for the best record in the NL this season. They are coming off of a win over the Braves. 

The Braves had won three straight games before dropping three of their last four to the Phillies and Mets. They are now 64-44 on the season. They are the defending champions and seem to have a great shot to defend their championship come September.

This is an outstanding pitching matchup as Jacob deGrom will be facing Spencer Strider. Strider is a leading candidate for rookie of the year as he has a 6-3 record with a 2.79 ERA. deGrom is making his second start this season but we all know how good he is. I like the over here actually. I know these pitchers are great but all three games in this series have gone over. The teams have averaged almost 12 runs a game over the series.
