NL Central Matchup
The Brewers are coming off of a dominating win over there and I’ll Central Rivals the Cardinals. They dismantled the Cardinals 8-0 behind Lorenzo Cain’s 3-4 day and gem of seven innings, two hits, no runs, 11 strikeouts, and only one walk.
The Cubs are coming off such a horrible loss. They are now 19-27 and fourth in the NL Central on the season after heading into the top of the 9th Inning up 1-0 and somehow losing the game 5-4 in 12 innings to their cross town rivals.
I don’t have much of a read on this game but the Brewers are a much better team than the Cubs. The Cubs will have Drew Smyly on the mound who has gone six straight starts giving up at least two runs. I like the run line value here.
